From the terrace of the Hotel Seelust you have a wonderful view of the lake located directly behind the house – perfect for a delicious dinner. There is also a natural bathing area in the lake.
Additionally, there is much else to discover in the Aukrug Nature Park, which covers an area of approximately 380 square kilometres. Gentle hills, wide valleys and numerous forests characterise the landscape in the middle of Schleswig-Holstein. In addition, many small streams run through the countryside.

Of course, the recreational opportunities in Aukrug Nature Park are not limited to the summer. In winter, too, there is plenty of nature to discover on a hike: especially with the white coating of fresh snow, the landscape offers a charm all of its own. You can even go sledding on the Boxberg, weather permitting. After your winter excursion, you can take off your jacket, hat, and gloves to warm yourself up with a coffee at our place.
By the way: dogs are also happy when they can romp in the snow. At all times of the year, there is plenty of variety for your four-legged friends in the nature park and lots to discover or sniff out.
